Not only will JW have a Pinzgauer 712M, it will have a G-Wagon! The Steyer is strong in this movie. Here's the brand new trailer:
The movie (like the first one) was filmed in Hawaii, where there are off road tours that use Pinzgauers. So that's likely how that got into the movie.

After JP3, that's fine.
And in the JP universe, that's kinda what it is. This takes place 2 years after JP1, but before Lost World.

The thing I liked about Jurassic Park was that it could be feasible given that cloning would work. this whole thing with genetics makes me nervous

Yeah, I'm thinking that's the case. It does take place on the same island, so I guess they just finished/rebuilt the park, under new management.

And to all the naysayers who think that super rich people businessmen don't exist that are egotistical enough to think "Oh this failed before because that bloke Hammond was an idiot, we can totally pull this off and make many many millions" are delusional. This could totally happen multiple times!
The original is a classic, Lost World sucked (which is too bad, the book rocked) and the 3rd one was pretty darn good. Bring on the dino carnage, take my IMAX 3-D monies!

Good point.
I think a lot of people's fears of that were started with JP. And now, 25 years after the book came out, this movie seems to be taking the next step in that discussion.
I suppose anything is possible, but from all I've seen and read, there's no way DNA could survive that long in amber or anything else. So actual dinosaurs are pretty much out of the question. A few years ago, they found some T-rex skin that was still pliable. But things like mammoths and Tasmanian tigers are possible.

That's kind of what I love about it too! That's exactly what would happen if there was HUGE money on the table. Like Gennaro said in JP "we can charge anything we want, $2,000 a day, $10,000 a day, and people will pay it. And then there's the merchandise..."
I liked LW better than JP3. The movie was definitely a let down from the book though. JP3 lost me here:
It was still a fun movie, but just not what I was hoping for.

The Internet says JW takes place 22 years after JP1. That's make more sense considering some of the stuff that went down in LW.

Haha, I hope that's not the case either. The new dino mentioned in the trailer is the Diabolus Rex aka D-rex, which seems to be a bigger t-rex style theropod with some extras added in by the genetic engineers.
